Hi All,
Below is a message from Laura Watkins, she
is the DeAnza League Registrar as well as the Assistant District Registrar for
Foothill….All the stuff I process goes to her next so her vacation time
is important for our processing schedule. Please note if a team needs to
be processed for tournaments the weekend of July 7th and 8th
I must have the paperwork by the 13th of June in order to get it to
Laura before her vacation.
Any questions let me know.
Thanks,
Colleen.

Deadlines -- Please Read Now
All,
Below is an email I just sent to De Anza
coaches with information about Abronzino deadlines, in case this is helpful to
you with your teams.
Note also the dates that I will be out of
town – June 22 – July 6th. If you have team
registration packets that teams will need on or before the weekend of July 7/8,
please try to get those to me no later than June 15th. The
sooner the better, as if everyone drops off stacks on June 15th, it
will be a challenge to get through all of them before I leave. My
objective is to leave only emergencies for Melinda to deal with, not a stack of
initial team registration packets. I realize this puts some pressure on
everyone, but I am hoping this won’t be too much of an issue, since the
dates I will be gone have been known for awhile.
Thanks,
Laura

Subject: Fall Registration
Deadlines -- Please Read Now
De Anza Coaches and Managers,
The registration deadlines I gave you in your registration
packet were 1) 4 weeks before the first date you need your paperwork, or 2) the deadline
for registration with whichever playing league your team is registering for,
whichever comes first. The Abronzino registration instructions are now
posted. Please go to the website for detailed information and to complete
your online registration. Please read below for information on how this
impacts your De Anza registration.
Key deadlines and requirements this year for Abronzino are:
-
July 8th – On-line registration CLOSES; last date to get c1
team registration packets turned in to league registrar. As a reminder,
it is each individual team’s responsibility to meet these
deadlines. Please do not expect someone from the league to monitor the
Abronzino site and remind you to register if you have not.
-
July 9th – Abronzino Board Meeting where paperwork for each
team registered with Abronzino must be turned in by league rep
So… what does this mean for your team if your team is
a class 1 team registering for Abronzino? It means that you have to have either
of the following completed and approved by the league registrar (me) no later
than July 8th:
-
Abronzino questionnaire – print this out from the
website and turn in with your team’s registration paperwork (I
cannot approve questionnaires without the team’s registration packet), or
-
2007-08 goldenrod, signed/approved by league and district – generated
after processing team registration
Recall that I am out of town/country for two weeks from June
22 – July 6. In my absence, the district registrar will be covering
emergencies, but not processing initial team registration packets. So:
-
Paperwork turned in between now and June 15th – if paperwork
is complete, your goldenrod should be ready for the Abronzino meeting on July 9th
-
Paperwork turned in between June 15 and June 19th – there is a
possibility your goldenrod will be ready for the Abronzino meeting on July 9th,
but you should definitely turn in a completed questionnaire
-
Paperwork turned in after June 19th – you should assume your
goldenrod will not be ready for the July 9th meeting, so you must
turn in a completed questionnaire
Delgado registration instructions are not yet available
on-line, but I would encourage class 3 teams to get their registration paperwork
in order quickly, in case Delgado has requirements similar to Abronzino.
Please make sure to include a check for league and field
fees with your registration materials. Registration packets are not
complete without payment.
Let me know if you have questions.
Laura
