Saturday pickup has not happened since early summer. If you can get enough people to play at least hot box, I can show up most Saturdays but if turnout is below 6 or 7 I won't be making it. You might start a poll from the MUPU site. Polls worked better than emails at gauging turnout in the past. Look at the old polls as a drafting template.

I haven't recieved many responses, but I'll be there in case anyone shows up to toss . . . or play if we have enough people.

I would have thought that a gorgeous Saturday afternoon would have attracted ultimate enthusiasts from far and wide. Needless to say I was a little disappointed to find McKinley Park vacant of ultimate players this afternoon. I don't know how many of you are still active members of this group, but I would like to appeal to anyone interested in playing at the scheduled time and location posted on your group's page. Is there anyone out there who is still interested in playing at McKinley? There are 93 members of this group. I'd like to think there are at least a dozen of you that still want to play. Also, is there anyone currently in charge of this group? Someone with a set of cones perhaps? There are probably a few decent weekends left to play this season and I'd hate to see them go to waste. So who wants to play some ultimate next Saturday?

Alas, it's true :). We do like everyone to play, and we increase (or decrease) the field size to suit. We play regardless of the weather or anything else (except, maybe we'll take the day off on the weekend of the Cooler Classic).
The web page (http://ridisculous.wordpress.com ) has maps, trash talk, etc. with the latest on dates, times, locations, etc. It should be revised at upa.org on their pickup page soon (if it isn't updated already).
Stop on by if you're around!

Greetings Derek,
I haven't played with the Milwaukee guys in a few years, but I can help you with the Waukesha Ultimate group. (Waukesha is 25 min W of downtown Milwaukee)
Below is info on the Waukesha area Ultimate group, the website & links to maps & locations.
They (we) play Tuesday nights 5:15 pm & Sunday afternoons 12:30 pm.
I say we, but I am not a regular attender.
Tonight's play is at Carroll College in Waukesha at their football stadium.
The location varies, but an email goes out each week advising field location.
There is almost always at least 10-20 showing up to toss.
One thing a bit different about this group is that if they have more than 14, they will play everybody. i.e. 8-on-8 or 9-on-9.
Hope you get to play & welcome to Brew City!

NOTE: We will be playing at Carroll College/Carroll University/
Schneider Stadium (all the same place).
If Carroll becomes uavailable, go to Lowell.
Unless otherwise noted on the sign-up sheet, warm-ups commence at 5:15
and game time is 5:30 Tuesday.

Graham, we had fours with a sub last week even though you, a cornerstone, couldn't make it.
It's been suggested we change the 'official' start time to 12:30. Cars have been seen driving up at noon and turning around because few people are there so punctually.
We could say that warm-ups, tossing start at noon, with play actually starting at 12:30ish. What does everybody think?

I'm not sure how it is that only a few people respond with their
intentions of coming or not and we end up with frequently a dozen or
more players! Too bad we can't get everybody to use the polls to
avoid people wasting their time in the event of low turnout. Please
get your buddies who come play to sign up on this site.
Anyway, with Graham bringing 3-6 friends tomorrow in addition to the
pollsters, we're definitely game on. See you at noonish.
Yes and be sure to reply to the poll on whether you think you are coming. This is our tool to gauge turnout so in the event of a low turnout folks with a long drive can make an informed decision by checking the poll on Saturday morning. However - The tool only works if everybody votes on the poll - too easy, 30 seconds tops.

Yes, noonish, lakefront somewhere around where the Brady Street bridge crosses over Lincoln Memorial Drive and hits the grassy part. I believe it is North of Lagoon Dr and South of Alterra on the Lake. Look for the people playing ultimate frisbee.
