Hey,
Due to the Superbowl being on Sunday, practice is cancelled for tomorrow. I
don't think we'd get enough people to make it worth the while. So no practice
tomorrow, but there will be practice on Thursday.
I know this is last minute, but I managed last minute to get a room today at
memorial union. 12:00-3:00 for dry practice, the equipment is still at the rec
center but if you have your own equipment feel free to show up.
Also I found out rather last minute that Bruce Sikes, one of the coaches in St.
Louis, and the leader of the broadsword reenactment group I'm in, is coming in
to Columbia today and is willing to a little demo about the difference between
stage fighting and the fencing we do. So if you want to bring your gear and
fence a little today, or if you want to see some stage fighting, feel free to
come. I know this is really last minute and some of you will wake up today at
3:00 or something, but if you were interested, I can see if he can come back
sometime when we're all better prepared.
