The UMASS Lowell Underwater Hockey Club will be hosting its fifth annual
underwater hockey tournament on Saturday and Sunday, May 1st & 2nd, 2010. 
Please save the date!  This year we will be hosting a 2 Day tournament and the
format will be Pot-Luck (6 on 6).  Last year we had 60 players attend and this
year we are capping the number of participants to 70.  This tournament is well
known for having a lot of play time during the tournament.  Several challenge
games (advanced, beginner, and woman’s) will be offered each day in addition to
the tournament play.  All players can be expected to play 4 - 6 games on each
day.  Canadians are also encouraged to participate! More information will be
announced in the coming months.

So now were getting into the crunch time. We still have 14 people confirmed. For
each game we will only be allowed to suit up 12 and because of the limited
number of team entries we cannot orphan any people out. So now it comes down to
how do we either slim numbers or limit our play time drastically? Its going to
come down to a first come first serve basis. I will not be able to participate
in practice on Monday, but I will be there to collect money. Again it's $35 for
the tournament and $25 for USOA fees. On top of that you must have paid your
club dues ($40 for the year or $25 for the semester) to Nick as I will verify
names through him also. Also we currently have 2 cars capable of carrying 9
individuals. Thus we either need 1 more person to step up with a car or we will
be renting one thus increasing costs slightly.

P.S.-An early estimate on gas is looking to be around $10 round trip for those
of you not offering up a car.

Hey guys, so there will not be practice the Wednesday before Thanksgiving
because the building is being shut down early. Also, we need to know how many
people are going to Chicago. Start paying tourney and USOA dues ASAP. Thanks!
