University of Illinois Underwater Hockey is pleased to announce our annual spring tournament on April 25-26, 2009. THe tournament will be held at the University of Illinois Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) in Champaign, Illinois.

ELIGIBILITY: Teams may consist of up to 12 players, with 10 allowed in the water during games. Players of all levels and teams are welcome to participate.

FORMAT: 6 vs 6, with space for 10 teams total. Saturday regular play, Sunday playoffs.

POOL: We will be playing in the north-end trench again with depths varying from 4 ft to 8 ft to 4 ft with a tile bottom. In-water subbing with the diving well for warm-up.

TIMES: We will have the pool reserved from 9am-7pm on Saturday and from 9am-1pm on Sunday. End times will depend on the number of teams attending.

COST: $35 per player + $5/player USOA development fee before April 20th. $40 per player +$5/player USOA fee after April 20th. Please make checks payable to "U of I Underwater Hockey."

BANQUET: Will be held after play on Saturday at Chinatown Buffet (same place as our Fall Tournament). Banquet cost is included in registration cost.

HOUSING: Limited sleeping space will be available at houses, apartments, etc. on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact us for more information. There are several hotels within a few miles of the pool on Prospect Street or Neil Street. Contact me for more information about nearby hotels.
