I don't remember reading any posts on this, so this may be just an FYI for
subscribers to VMX magazine.
I placed a 2 year subscription to VMX magazine about 1 year a go. I love the
magazine and can't wait for the issues to come, but the other day I received my
issue of VMX only to see that the U.S. distributor had gone out of business and
that I would not be receiving the remainder of my subscription, but that if I
wished I could re-subscribe directly from VMX in Australia.
I e-mailed VMX inquiring what was going on as I had subscribed through THEIR
distributor, they had accepted my subscription and I had been receiving
magazines. I was advised by VMX that their US distributor had failed to send
any money to them and that they had sent the last two issues at their own
expense and that they could not afford to send over any more magazines. So even
though I subscribed to VMX through their agent, my money was accepted and
magazines delivered, VMX will not fulfill the remainder of the subscription.
VMX blames everything on Cobalt Blue, their former U.S. distributor, but if it
was THEIR distributor, then it sounds like it is their problem, not the
subscribers.
I may not understand all the business technicalities of being a distributor for
someone else, all I know is I/we paid a very expensive subscription to VMX
magazine and unless I/we re-subscribe, all U.S. subscribers will no longer get
their VMX magazine.
If anybody is interested in the letters sent to and received from VMX please let
me know and I will forward them to you.
Dan
