I used one. It was only tightened to about 4.8 or so. It was already tightened enough. I will just have to wait and hear back from the company about it. It should only take a week. Still thats too long without a bike. :(

dude...that is amazing...that is some tough metal to break....
 
maybe the stem was torqued tooo tightly..?
 
did you use a torque wrench when installing that stem??  It should have been 5.5 Newton meters...
