did you use a torque wrench when installing that stem?? It should have been
5.5 Newton meters...

1st Thomson product I have ever heard of cracking. Thomson should replace it; I have seen them replace broken bolts for free because they said the bolts...

I have also never heard of a Thomson product cracking. You sure it just happened? There was not a car involved? I abuse my Thomson stem/seatpost regularly...

dude...that is amazing...that is some tough metal to break.... maybe the stem was torqued tooo tightly..? did you use a torque wrench when installing that...

Yes sir, a Torque wrench....I use it when I remember to use it...or when a component specifically says to use it....5.5 Nm would not be a lot of torque ...
