Hi All -
As you have probably figured out, there is a problem with the water system.
Water has been flowing from the top of lot 15 for several days, and water
pressure throughout the Stables has been low. Parks investigated today, and it
appears that the problem does not lie within the stable area, and further
investigation is needed. The water has been TURNED OFF. Parks will try to turn
on the water FOR AN HOUR tomorrow morning (8-9 AM) to allow us to fill our
tanks. Then they need to turn it back off to continue searching for the problem.
If it looks like it is a long term issue, they will arrange for a water truck to
come out daily.
Stay tuned for more information!
Parks phone # is 662-8159
Happy Winter!
Lisa
Hi,
So far, in only the past 3 months we have earned $607.50. All we had
to do was write checks and shop at Smith's. Keep it up!

Kathleen has to go out-of-town earlier than she planned due to a family emergency. I have wished her the best and a Merry Christmas from our group.
She also wants to let everyone know that she has a New Years Day fun cross-country clinic in Boca. Let me know if you'd like to attend. I'll have to call to find out her pricing for that and get more details.

Lisa I don't know what to put- at this point we can't commit to doing anything because of the lack of funds for it all. However if we were to sell the other house early into the process we could send Brenna to quiz without a problem and maybe something with a horse- not sure what??

HI,
Please make sure to drop your checks off at Lisa's trailer, made out to me, for your Smith's bucks. In 2 months we have made $280.00!
You can drop your checks off earlier than the deadline and remember your checks are not cashed until after the cards are charged and ready to use.
You can also drop off several months worth of checks and I will use them each month. FYI you can also use your Smith's bucks for prescriptions!
If you have been using Smith's bucks, take the time to tell one other PCer or Horsemaster, how great it is, so we can maximize our money making!
Please call or e-mail if you have questions.

The footing is still not good for a lesson up here.
However, for those die-hards who would like a cross country lesson at Boca, tomorrow, Kathleen will be available at 1:30. Call her directly to set it up.
Thanks Nancy and Laura for your kind words. Thanks especially to Lisa,
who was my rock-for-the-day on Monday. She had her own tears, but was much
braver at all the details than I was.
We retired Rosie after St Johns camp last summer and she had a couple of
good months as a lady of leisure, eating ungodly quantities of Senior feed
and beet pulp and horse candy, rolling in any available mud (making do
with dust when mud was unavailable) and making nasty-face at Rocco (but of
course whinnying anytime he was out of sight). But, progressive arthritis
and laminitis took its toll. Our goal was to keep her pain free, but over
the past two months she really had a difficult time. With Dr Nolan's help,
we were able to keep her comfortable until the past few weeks and it was
finally clear to me that her pain was constant and considerable and,
ultimately, unmanageable. I so miss her throaty calls for food when I
arrive at the barn each morning and evening. She was quite a talker. We
were so lucky and privileged to have been able to keep Rosie for the past
few years- just one in a string of lucky families over her long life. She
was a wonderful pony who took excellent care of Eli, giving her the
confidence she needed and a very good Pony Club experience. We will all
remember her faithful execution of every task asked of her, from picking
up the correct lead, to jumping whatever she was pointed towards, to
opening (and closing) gates without help. Eli loved her, I loved her- I
think we all loved Rosie. She will be deeply missed.

I think we are honored to have these fine old horses and ponies in our midst, teaching our kids (and families) so patiently and kindly over the years.
I also think this is one of the great benefits of Pony Club, providing continued loving homes as these steady friends age. Not every horse or pony gets the benefit of a Pony Club family in their final years, as of course not every critter behaves in a safe and kindly way to earn their graceful retirement. But for ponies like Rosie who have become legends over time, across multiple clubs and multiple families, it's a fine path toward "the rainbow bridge."
