Marissa and Rachel attend a local martial ars tournament March 3.

Marissa, won first place for her division doing Lion Form. In
sparring Marissa had to move up to the next division and sparred with
the yellow and orange belts up to nine year olds. The first match
was against a nine year old orange belt who found out that Marissa
can kick. Within 20 seconds she had scored 4 points on kicks and
won. She then took on another nine year old and took care of him.
It wasn't until her fourth match (and third in a row) that she lost.
It was OK since it was a girl that managed to win.

Rachel, did a great job doing four direction form. Rachel also did
great sparring, she chased one boy around the ring the whole time,
but he managed to get shot in and the judges seemed to miss her
inside shots.

The best part of the day for me was when one instructer from another
school as he was chasing down his students complemented me on how
well Rachel and Marissa acted.
