Ignore your friend, If you have a show in April you have more than
enough time to get down to 4% without drugs. There are lots of drug
free bodybuilders that achieve that level of body fat. At 7% your only
a few weeks out. My Advice would be to do it slowly, over 8-10 weeks.
The primary problem that drug free bodybuilders experience is the
retention of muscle mass while dieting down, if you do it slowly,
maintaining strength levels you should be able to maintain your muscle.
Posing wise you want to practice the mandatory poses and their
transitions. The mandatories are:
Side triceps
side chest
rear lat spread
rear double biceps
front lat spread
front double biceps
front abs and thigh
most muscular
I suggest posing 5-7 days a week for 15-30 mins. 10 weeks out from
your show. practice holding the poses for 15 secs at first and build
up to 60 seconds. Get them too a point where you are in total control,
fully contracted without looking uncomfortable.
You also have to come up with a posing routine, this routine should
contains poses that compliment your physique and personality. Pick
music that makes you shine and is ideal for your physique. In the free
posing round you can also develop poses that are a combination of poses.
I suggest going to youtube and checking out the posing routines of
Lee Labrada
Dorian Yates
Bob Paris
Frank Zane
Ed Corney
Arnold S
they are all masterful posers

Practice holding each pose
