BCAA's are definitely the real deal, I fully endorse this supplement. BCAA's
help preserve
muscle (reduce catabolism) and might provide some energy for muscle contraction.
Primary energy for high intensity activity comes from glycogen stores but it
helps to have
a back up of BCAA's if glycogen levels drop to low.
I recommend BCCA's for any trainee wanting to optimize muscle growth (off
season) as
well as for any trainee who is on a restricted caloric intake (cutting up
phase).
BCAA's can be consumed right before your workout, immediately after and before
retiring
on intensive exercise days. On non weight training days you probably won't need
them.
try the following dosage before, after and before retiring on weight training
days:
leucine 1200mg
isoleucine 600mg
valine 600mg
the above amount is contained in the Vitamin Shoppe brand
