Hello, Las Vegas!
The modest crew of ultimate players from down in Prescott are throwing
a hat tournament! The date has been set for Saturday, November 3rd. We
have 2 fields available for play on the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University campus, so we hope for enough players to put together 5
teams (about 60 or more players). Invitations are also being sent to
players from Flagstaff, Phoenix, Albuquerque and Tucson. The
tournament will be set up in a pool play format with the top two teams
playing a final game to be named tournament champions. Therefore
winning teams will probably play 5 games at the tournament (currently
planned as games to 11 capped at 50 minutes). There will be some
prizes for the winning team as well as spirit team and more as funds
are available.
Play will begin tentatively at 10:30 AM with the finals complete
before 5 PM. For those players wishing to socialize with their fellow
players, there will be an after party at a local restaurant/bar.
Location TBD.
The cost to play is expected to be $10 and will cover the usage of
Embry-Riddle facilities and equipment, water and gatorade on the
field, prizes and some tournament food (bagles and/or fruit, etc.)
Registration fees will be collected on November 3rd prior to play.
For those players from farther away in Vegas, Albuquerque and Tucson.
We have some local players who are willing to give up floor space for
you to spend the night if you are staying for the after party. Please
let me know if this is the case for you and we can make arrangements.
We would really love to see you come!

If there is great interest in this event, we will have to cap the
number of players, so register early! We want to get a good estimate
of who will be attending so that we can hold the best event possible!
Email me back if you have more questions. We will be updating our
website with detailed tournament information soon.
Best,
