Ted,
I handle the XD-45 at Custom Cartridge, it does feel good. The price
was a little high and barrel too short for me, 5 inch Tactical would
be better.

Shooters,
the upcoming classifier for our Las Cruces match will be 99-16, both
sides now #2. Its a quick classifier and should help speed our
match along. We ran a little long last time and that cut into our
after match celebrations, it won't happen again.
Look for 3 stages in the 24-32 round range, and of course the rules
will be USPSA compliant.
Alamorgordo USPSA match is this sunday, lets support them as they
have supported else very well.
El Paso IDPA is this saturday, show your support there as well.
Gun show in Las Cruces at the Dickerson barn both saturday and
sunday sponsored by the Lion's club, all they make goes to charity,
so its all for a good cause.

Sure enjoyed getting back out there today with you guys. Good stages
especially #1. Landis had a ball and has already called about gear
and USPSA membership info.
I had several people ask me about the Single Stack Classic. Okay here
goes: January 28th and 29th in Mesa. Applications are now being
accepted. I didnt recieve a notification from Steve Horsman this
year, I guess he is pretty busy being sponsored by Springfield and
all.....
I went to the Rio Salado web site and go the form from there. This
year they are only taking the first 100 apps. $75 entry fee....gas
will cost more than the entry fee....geeez.
I think that about covers it. Yall take care and will talk at ya later.

We'll have 3 stages and the classifier. Sorry Jim, no 45 round stage
this time....but plan on the star, the double bobber and hard cover of
course.
Merle's standards will be the classifier, so get your long range
shooting up to speed. Weak hand and strong hand too.....
If anyone wants to shoot the classifier again for upload to USPSA
just let me know the day of the match. Your first shoot will count
for match score, Your best we'll send in to USPSA for you. This way,
shooters can make the slow and lengthy climb to the next level.
See you saturday, bring a friend to shoot if you can.

Shooters, starting this weekend we are going to try and provide a side
match using shotgun or carbine,we have them why not use them. This
weekend will be a shotgun stage which will require ~15-20rds of at
least 7 1/2 birdshot. I will post thursday if anything bigger than
birdshot will be allowed. Any questions call me at 505.635.8959 rja
P.S this will be shot at end of pistol match.
Robert,
They definately have some shooters here. Like I said on the other
site, my first match I got squaded with Dave Sevigny, his wife, and
Chris Edwards from Glock.
I found an indoor range right down the road from the house I just
bought. They have an indoor IPSC match every Tuesday night. The
lady running it works for Glock as the head of the GSSF matches.
Not a real good shooter but a great lady and probably a good contact
to have.
Max Michel shoots down here several times a year. I just missed him
a week before my first match here.
They just had the area 6 match a couple of weeks before I arrived.
it is at the range right here where I shoot. The names at it were
like a who's who of IPSC shooting. Max won open, Dave won
Production, Everyones favorite revolver shooter won revolver.
Anyway, there is definately plenty of shooting to go around.
Good hearing from you man. Catch all of ya later,
Neal

We had a couple of A class shooters shoot it that way. They both
zeroed the stage.

Thanks Neal. Its one of those classifiers that everyone on the enos
board says 'avoid like the plague'. Not a hoser stage and definetly
not heaven. Hope everything is great in Georgia. Sounds like you've
got some great shooters to compete against.

All,
If you are looking for a clasifier stage to ensure that noone in the
club moves up a class, I shot one yesterday that you need to look at.
00-14 Hoser Heaven.
Man, this is the most poorly named classifier I have ever shot.
(Not that I've shot that many.
I shot around a 20% and that was one of the higher scores shot. I
saw a whole bunch of people zero the stage.
If your bored, take a look at the diagram on the USPSA site. It
actually looks easy but man did is suck. It is a par time stage
wtih 3 strings. You have 5 seconds per string. 6 targets at 12
yards, with all kinds of hard cover and no-shoots.
The hit factor is based on points only with 90 being the HHF.
If your real bored set it up during practice and see how you do on
the 1st run.
Let me know :-)
Later,
Neal
