The Toys for Tots Maverick 3-Gun match has been canceled due to lack of support from the shooting community.

I would like to thank the shooters that have dedicated time and effort to this event by volunteering to RO or by providing other support we will try to reschedule for next year.

I would like to thank our largest sponsor the USMC Battery D, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines 4th Marine Division  for their time spent in preparation and overwhelming support for this match. For those of you who don’t know they were providing static displays with vehicles, large tents, tables, chairs, porta-johns and work crews (12 men) to clean the range and working with the ROs.

I would also like to thank NMDAV Chapter 10 and NMDAV Chapter 10, Ladies Auxiliary who had volunteered to cook the breakfast and lunch, the food was donated by Maverick Outfitters

For those that are interested we will be shooting a small 3-gun on Nov 7, 2009, with 4 stages of pistol, rifle, and shotgun. The entry fee is $10 and we are asking everyone to bring an unwrapped toy for the local Toys for Tots. (I already bought mine so did some others) so let’s all have fun shooting and still support a great cause. If you have any questions or comments please send them to
