yeah right!
in the 1st century, "death" was defined very differently from how we in the 21st century define "death".
in the 1st century, even lepers were considered "living dead" and your buy-bull will even attest to this phenomenon. today, we don't consider lepers as "living dead" but just merely "sick" coz we have already discovered medicines to cure such illness.
also, in the 1st century, you will not hear or see any document that describes people being in a state of "coma" which usually result from TRAUMA. today, we all know that if a person suffers a very traumatic experience (thru car accidents or accidental electrocutions) , such person may become "temporarily comatose" (BUT NOT DEAD) and there are now medical procedures to try to bring such person back to consciousness, and live happily ever after!!!
the biblical "lazarus" could just have been unconscious from some trauma suffered from disease or accident who
later regained back his consciousness. yet your buy-bull describes this as "resurrection" !
surely, today you cannot deny that if all those accident victims who have been rushed to nearby hospitals to be immediately treated and eventually recovered, you have in your face millions of "resurrected people" roaming the streets all over the world. why not make them into gods and pray to them for your salvation?

Susan Boyle on Britains Got Talent 2009!! Incredible Voice!!
So this is the last post on the Eclipse Earthquake simulator. I have no plans to create the simulator (but before I drop the idea all together) I thought I'd use a little Psuedo science to make my own earth quake prediction for the July 22 2009 Eclipse.
The eclipse quake theory is as follows, When the gravitational force of the sun and moon are both pulling on a plate that has not had series of recent earth quakes, the extra pull is all that is needed to "pop the seam" and cause a major quake. I used the theory to predict the biggest magnitude of earthquake activity, and it happens to be in Southern Japan. Japan sits on or near the epicenter of 4 tectonic plates
I predict a 6+ Magnitude Quake on July 22 2009 at 3:00PM Local Japanese time. This will be follower by two level 5+ Earthquakes and a Tsunami between 5:00PM and 7:00PM. The tsunami will start out in the pacfic ocean (to the South East of Japan ... Along the fault line) and hit all the islands to the south west of Japan, Indonesia and even reach New Zealand. The major quakes will actually be along the fault lines in the Ocean.
Most of the quake activity will be south of Japan. Taiwan and Indonesia will probably be hit hard too.
Note: I have absolutely no credibility to do this. I'm just applying the theory that the gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon pulling together will do the following things.
1. Lift the tectonic plates 2. Cause the tide to rise more than usual 3.
Cause an underground molten magma tide to dip and raise the plates following the water tide.
I placed all the time data from the Nasa eclipse site into an excel spread sheet four the four tectonic plates in the region. I assumed an hour delay for each event following the lunar eclipse, and then summed the values. I assumed that the events would last longer for the fluids, water and molten magma than for dry land. I then summed the values four all 4 plates where Japan sits.
The blue path above shows the lunar path that will achieve the full solar eclipse at around 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Red dots show where the solar
eclipse will be full.
I think a real simulator to test the theory would be a great benefit. I think the TGEA properly applied with a physics engine could do it. Who knows what the real values are, but its a fun idea to play with.
The original guy who came up with the theory said it could take up to 48 hours to get the quake. But I say that makes no sense. If the eclipse really does have an impact it should be within a few hours.
Britton, This is an interesting theorie. I wish I had the coding ability to put this together, but the actual coding work needed to make this work, outside physics engine math mesh morph for realistic reacting water ??? is more than I could think of tackling. It would be interesting to see this in action tho.
Hmm... wonder if Vegas is tracking odds in this. Certainly this specific theory has come up or been published somewhere. If not, maybe you can have an earthquake named after you ;p
@Brian, I saw a couple of documentaries on TV about the moon and the tides, one of them said the moon was pulling away from the earth and went back billions of years when it was closer. That first one said the early moon (billions of years ago) pulled on the earths liquid magma. I'm guessing our current moon still does, to a lesser extent. Then I saw the documentary on the eclipse and the earth quakes. Makes sense to me.
@Brian, I'm willing to wager my credibility as an earthquake scientist.
PS (I have no experience in earthquakes or geology... I just make video games, and do software consulting) So if my predictions with this theory are wrong.... I'll hang up my earthquake science hat for and the earthquake simulation idea for good.
hm, i thought i posted this yesterday but i must have messed up,
Britton, an interesting theory. i'm sure that solar and lunar tidal forces can influence the likelihood of an earthquake at any given time, but they can only be part of a large, complex equation involving the particular state of the crust, etc.
have you tried running your theory against historical earthquake & eclipse data ?
also, on a tangent, you might be interested in the Allais effect, a somewhat contended effect wherein the period of a pendulum will change during a full solar eclipse.
you might also be interested in lunar perigee, which is when the moon is closest to the earth, and happens about every thirteen months. apparently this perigean tide can vary by a few to many centimeters.
@Orion, very interesting stuff. The allais effect supports the theory that the gravitation field is distorted by an eclipse. The Allais effect does not have to be a huge effect on a small pendulum to have a giant effect on a very large surface like a tectonic plate.
I wrote this because i received an email from the readers of this blog, then the email is spreading around recently. i was request to give advice on this......
i am sorry to say that your theory is truly not baked at all.
the theory you've apply is for fluid engineering, hydrology or oceanographic.
further more the theory of gravity explained is applied wrongly in this case. that in your prediction will only happen if the earth have zero gravity, then i will be totally agree with you.
simple explanation,
1part: "a ball fill with water will drop downward." - the ball assumed is the earth, the water inside assumed is the magma. - the water inside will not pull out of the ball to burst the surface of the ball - instead of that the entire medium will be
pull toward the gravitational attraction. - this explain the astronomical gravity of sun pull towards the mother earth
2part: "the ball suspended in air with a string, surface wet with water" - the ball will not drop downward - the surface water will drip at the point facing the gravity force. - the suspended ball assumed as the earth with center figure force floated in the universal. - water at the ball surface assumed as ocean with tide. - you can understand it better if you refer more to tidal and ocean stream or tidal consituent. the central figure force is something that "why this exist?", please refer to Newton's book & theory and story of apple drop towards the earth, why not out ward to sky.
3part,(more interesting) the force explain in your theory is the act of solar and moon's gravity force, but mother earth center figure force is much much X1000 greater that the astronomical
gravity.
the main element in the function is (mass / distance to center gravity) so the greatest gravity we can experience on earth is the gravity 9.8m/s2. which this value is already offset from gravity force from sun moon and other astronomical medium out there. that's the reason why apply drops.
the statement :"magma pull out by gravity force of sun and moon" the live magma and medium inside our earth is the major medium that generates gravity field of earth. they form a body of a big magnet that pull all mass towards them, they will never been pull out from crust.
earth quake and volcano happen is when the activity in the core is too active that they are "squeezed" out, instead of "pull" out explained in your statement.
so these theory also apply to any other planet that the reason why magma on sun surface is not "pull" towards our earth, and why the sun is in round/eclipse shape although the sun is form by liquid
magma.
please refer more of the theory at http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Gravity
earth quake or volcano will happen on 22July 2009 only if on that day the activity of tectonic/seismic is great enough to shift the crust...it will never be caused by the eclipse. sorry to prove you wrong.

THE WEDDING!!!
THIS IS JUST TOO BEAUTIFUL AND TOO MEANINGFUL, JUST TAKE THE TIME AND REFLECT UPON IT. GOD BLESS,
Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiance, Nick, 23. This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005 . Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions..
Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single wedding
planning. Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie's constant weight loss.
An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception. The other couple in this picture are Nick's parents, very emotional with the wedding and of course to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.
Katie, in a wheel chair listening to her husband and friends singing to her. In the middle of the party Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath. The pain doesn't allow her to stand for long period of time.
Katie died 5 days after her wedding. To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think... happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts.....lets enjoy life and don't live a complicated life. Life is too short. work as if it was your first day
forgive as soon as possible
love without boundaries
laugh without control
and never stop smiling even if you don't know the reason.

MANILA, Philippines—President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will declare Nov. 27 and 28 as national non-working holidays in celebration of a major Islamic festival, according to Malacañang.
In a press statement released over the weekend, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said the dates, which fall this year on a Friday and a Saturday, are in celebration of Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice.
The annual celebration, the exact dates of which are determined by Saudi Arabia’s highest religious body, signify the culmination of the hajj, or the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in
Saudi Arabia by Muslims from all over the world.
For Muslims, the hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, a journey that every adult Muslim must undertake at least once in their lives if they are physically and financially able to do so.
In an interview yesterday, Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said President Arroyo would formally make the declaration when she signs the proclamation on Easter Sunday.
“Eid al-Adha is the second major Islamic festival celebrated by an estimated 1.6 billion Muslims all over the world, including the 10 million Muslim Filipinos in the country,” Ermita said in the statement.
The other major Islamic celebration is Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. It was celebrated as a national holiday on Oct. 1 last year.
Republic Act No. 9177 declares Eid al-Adha as a regional holiday in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
(ARMM).

Last March 13, 2009, Filipino Fashion Designer Angelino Boyet Fajardo created a scene, to the shock and horror of shoppers and employees of Duty Free Philippines alike, when a cashier politely asked for his ID after presenting his unsigned credit card. This is a standard operating procedure applicable to all stores to verify ownership of the credit card and prevent fraud.
Suddenly, the designer reportedly got furious and, at the top of his voice, started berating the cashiers and managers of Duty Free Philippines. He might have thought a celebrated person like he is, with all his accolades and fame, has gone unrecognized by the cashier. A new well-trained casual worker who is carefully doing his job. The designer further shocked bystanders by cursing the people there with words such as leche and p...ina, while angrily expressing surprise why the people there did not recognize him.
Store managers and officers were sought to appease the
matter, explaining to him that it is all included as a standard operating procedure in credit card payment for the safety, not only for the company but also his own. Ignoring all this, he pulled out his phone and threatened to call on high positioned government officials whom he allegedly knew, like doing a power-play to make these people realize how important he is. He went on saying "Mga leche kayo! Hindi niyo ako kilala? Ako si Boyet Fajardo! At itong p...ina na babaeng ito (pointing to a lady officer) at ang baklang ito (pointing to the cashier) ay walang kwentang mga tao! I want them fired!!!"
His yelling and berating went on and on. He cannot calm down and as he appeared to have bloodshot eyes, like that of a drunk person and or under an influence. He threw his passport on the cashier's face and later intentionally stepped on the cashier's foot to say "Ay sorry, di ko sinasadya!" He goes on to say, that only if the cashier kneel down before
him and/or allow him to freely slap the cashier's face, may he get satisfied.
The ill-fated cashier, with all the onlookers watching, stand down and just simply gave in to probably he thought would end the matter. Crying in shame he slowly knelt down and apologize (for actually doing his job) before this self proclaimed GOD, perhaps for fear of losing his job. No slapping was made to the cashier's face but the incident landed a harsher and reverberating sound to the faces of the lesser people of this society.
Fortunately, his inhumane acts were caught on CCTV in which a portion was featured in YouTube.
With such disrespect, discrimination and humiliation towards a good worker,a less fortunate person and a fellow Filipino...
1. We are
calling all citizens to stop patronizing Boyet Fajardo's RTW labels such as Substance in SM department stores, Boyet Fajardo and Initials in Landmark and Robinson's department stores. 2. We are calling on all malls to pull out or stop distributing his products in your outlets. 3. We are calling on the Commission on Human Rights, Department of Labor and Employment and all human rights and labor activists to take appropriate legal actions on this matter. 4. We are calling all foreign embassies to deny him of entry to your respective countries. 5. We are calling on the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines to dishonor him of his membership and profession.
...To give him a lesson and to help us stop him from victimizing the underprivileged over and over and over again.
Never heard that name before... Why does a designer think that he should be
known like an actor, rockstar or politician?

FW: Priests in Hawaii
This is cute...Enjoy! J
Two priests decided to go to Hawaii on vacation. They were determined to make this a real vacation by not wearing anything that would identify them as clergy. As soon as the plane landed they headed for a store and bought some really outrageous shorts, shirts, sandals, sunglasses, etc. The next morning they went to the beach dressed in their "tourist" garb. They were sitting on beach chairs, enjoying a drink, the sunshine and the scenery when a "drop dead gorgeous" blonde in a topless bikini came walking straight towards them. They couldn't help but stare. As the blonde passed them she smiled and said "Good Morning, Father ~ Good Morning, Father," nodding and addressing each of them individually, then she passed on by. They were both stunned. How in the world did she know they were priests? So the next day, they went back to the store and bought
even more outrageous outfits.
These were so loud you could hear them before you even saw them! Once again, in their new attire, they settled down in their chairs to enjoy the sunshine. After a little while, the same gorgeous blonde, wearing a different colored topless bikini, taking her sweet time, came walking toward them. Again she nodded at each of them, and said: "Good morning, Father ~ Goodmorning, Father," and started to walk away. One of the priests couldn't stand it any longer and said, "Just a minute, young lady." "Yes, Father?" "We are priests and proud of it, but I have to know, how in the world do you know we are priests, dressed as we are?" She replied, "Father, it's me,............ Sister Kathleen!"

Tips for an Exceptional, Superb and Powerful Life.
Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate antidepressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Always pray and make time to exercise.
4. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of six.
5. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less foods that are manufactured in factories.
6. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat brocolli, almonds & walnuts.
7. Try to make at least three (3) people smile each day.
8. Clear your clutter from your house, car, desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
9. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control.
Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment.
10. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class ........ but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
11. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a layman and dinner like a beggar.
12. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
13. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
16. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
17. Don't compare your life with others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
18. Ladies - Go on and burn those 'special' scented candles, use the 600 thread count bed sheets, and wear your fancy clothes now.
Stop waiting for a special occasion. Every day should be special.
19. No one is in charge of our happiness except you.
20. Frame every so-called disaster with these Words: 'In five years, will this matter?'
21. Forgive everyone for everything.
22. What other people think of you is none of your business.
23. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time!
24. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
25. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch with them.
26. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
27. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. God provides, remember?!
28. The best is yet to come.
29. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
30. Do the right thing!
31. Call your family often.
32. Each night before you go to bed, complete the following
statements: 'I am thankful for __________.' Today I accomplished __________.
33. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
34. Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly don't want a fast pass.
You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. LIFE's a gift. That's why it is called PRESENT. UNWRAP IT!
