Greg /Moonshine.
New Prospects: Jeff Schreiner / ?? TBD
Blast from the Past: Dawn Gallegos / Wild Hare
Membership Renewals / New Members:
Jim / Cricket (three witnesses saw Jim hand his dues to Lamar)
Membership cards:
Ben distributed membership cards to several members. For those who didn't get theirs, ppppllllllhhhhbbbbb! No seriously, better luck next month! Ben said he'd get the rest of the cards out to members. Really.
Treasury report:
The recount was done and the Treasure said $495.
That figure immediately dropped to $454 when we voted to join the Missouri Bike Federation for $50.00 a year. Adding Crickets dues back in, and we're back up around $475. Whew, the stock exchange doesn't move that fast!
Bike Schedule - Spring Rides
We discussed a 10am Sunday ride from Maple Woods by fitness center off Hwy 152 and Route 1.
Wednesday night mountain bike rides have been out lately due to muddy conditions.
Flyers:
Ben printed a bunch. We folded a bunch. We talked about creating a special flyer for the Spring Semi-Sucky 50 miler.
Club Logo:
No updates but talked about using it for Teeshirts or something. Ben's going to have the artist put the final(??) touches on the latest version.
CLUB SPONSORSHIP:
No updates
CLUB
No updates
Insurance:
We're putting this idea on hold until we get more members, or until we decide to sponsor a ride.
Constitution & Bylaws:
No updates.
Time Trials for 2007: Whew, lots of action here. The roads around the airport
did not fair well over the winter. They are doable, but we're also looking at other choices.
Check the other postings on this website for the proposed routes
Post your own suggestions as well and lets keep the discussions friendly!!
The suggested criteria for suggestions include:
Course needs to be as safe as possible.
Can't have Stop LIGHTS.
Minimal Cross streets, intersections, and traffic
This isn't NASCAR, Right Turns would probably keep things safer for us.
Distance is open, but should be at least 6 miles based on our previous plans to do a double loop at the airport.
Check this website for details and scheduled rides to check out proposed courses.
The TT's will still start on May 1st, we just don't know where.
Races will be Every Other Tuesday, 6pm.
We'll have a total of 12 trials, but points will be only be counted on each person's first 10 races.
Currently the following points are awarded for each trial:
1st place = 10 pts., 2nd = 9 pts., 3rd = 8 pts. etc.
Questions we need to answer:
WHERE?? How Long?
Is the current point system still okay?
How to handle male & female categories?
Season prize category possibilities:
Points Champ
Fastest average time/speed for entire season
Fastest time/speed single night
Fastest time/speed for average of 3 fastest trials for each rider
Most improved
PRIZES! Keith feels we need TWICE as big of prizes for 2007.
(no one got a prize for last year, at least not yet)
We are still looking for Timing system proposals!
Timing, or actually timers, become a much bigger issue the longer the course gets.
Upcoming events:
Sucky half century,or the Semi-Sucky around the 2nd or 3rd week of April.
A proposal was made to ride from Gower and do a few hills.
Suggestions for scheduling and locations in afternoons or on Sundays so as not to interfere with dam rides.

OPEN Discussion
Next months meeting is at Pizza Factory at 87th and North Oak!
** Cricket wondered if there were any opportunities to volunteer on the Tour of Missouri. Several people expressed interest in watching it. If anyone has details on that please let us know!**
FIMQ (Foot In Mouth Quote) of the meeting:
Steve again: Steve said he gave his wiener away a thousand times.
We said: Well, actually we were split on this. Some said, "YOU WISH!" Others said, "Poor Sherry!"
