A retropsective look back at past Polar Bear/Polar Plunge events in
Lake George, New York.

This is something I've been wanting to do for awhile.

Not having to work today, I went to Crandall Library and dug out
some Microfilm of past years of The Post-Star. The microfilm
machines proved to be unpredictable. The printer would jam and
constantly had to be turned on and off to reset it. Also, it
wouldn't print what was centered on the screen, which meant
reprinting some things.

I decided to start with 1991, which I believe was the first year I
ever participated in the January 1st event. And I was surprised to
find no article. The articles covering the event usually appear in
the January 2nd paper. But in the 1/2/91 paper I found no article.

And it appears that I have to go back and try reprinting the 1992
article since I can't read it.

One of the interesting things I found was a mention of a Korean TV
crew filming the event in 1994.
