Hi, my name is Brenda, I'm 31, just joined this group. Been riding my
quad (trx250ex) at Bailee all summer/fall with my BF, Randy, who
rides his yz450f, and my 13 year old daughter, Alex, who rides her
ttr125e. Last Spring, we decided to buy the bikes because we knew we
could drive 30 minutes and ride at Lake Bailee at least once a week.
It has worked out great! We spent many Sunday's there, typically with
2 to 5 other riders. In fact, Ran even offered to help groom the
track or whatever you needed, to show his appreciation for being able
to ride so often and so close to home. We have all improved our
riding skills immensely, which, of course, just makes it more fun and
makes us want to do it more!
However, if I can't ride my quad on the weekend, now you will not
only lose my $15, but Ran and Alex 's as well. Ran and I work full
time jobs Mon thru Fri and we really look forward to riding on the
weekend. I'm sure we'd come at least 15 times Spring/Summer/Fall and
that adds up to $675.
If our weekend riding has to be elsewhere, we'll go elsewhere. We'll
drive to Haspin or Big Rock. Where else can quads ride? Any
suggestions? Ran won't be too happy since he hates trail riding...
My proposal/request is that you continue to allow "lightweight" quad
riders, such as myself, to ride anytime:
-you still get our money
-our family still gets to ride together close to home
-Ran still gets to ride on a track
-Alex and I still get to work on improving our jumping skills
-we will never do any damage to the track because we do not ride hard
-everyone wins!
The harder quad riders will be on quads bigger than a 250ex anyway…
right? So, if you let them ride only on Thursdays, hopefully, that
works out well for them.
Thanks for listening and for your consideration.
Take care,
~Brenda
