As I can attest from my first shoe testing/hashing experience, you can use the test test shoes to run through streams, mud puddles and cranky old people's backyards, and then drink beer out of them perfectly fine.

If you run 20+ miles a week, R*nner's World wants to give you free shoes to try out!
-Testes
Hello Lehigh Valley Wear-testers:
It’s that time again. If you have received this e-mail, you handed in your completed Runner’s World wear-test survey or are a tester in good standing and are eligible to test running shoes for our June 2008 Shoe Guide. The process hasn’t changed: once you get your shoes, you’ll have about a month to run in them. At the end of the month, we’ll e-mail you and ask for your feedback. In most cases, you’ll be able to keep the shoes you’re given. As always, all testers must be 21 years of age or older and must run at least 25 miles a week.
If you’re interested, please come to The Finish Line Running Store on the triangle in downtown Emmaus on Tuesday, February 5, between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Note: This is a new location. For The Finish Line’s address and directions, go to www.finishlinerunningstore.com/home.html . We’ll have a professional running-shoe fit specialist on hand to make sure you’re given the shoes that match your individual needs. Please note, quantities and specific sizes are limited, and we distribute shoes on a first-come-first-served basis.
Please feel free to contact me at warren.greene@rodale.com or susan.rinkunas@rodale.com with any questions.
See you on Tuesday,
Warren Greene
