Hi Trail Runners,

I was wondering if anyone would be interested to join me on a Conestoga Trail
Run primer on any one of the following Sundays?

Aug. 9th
Aug. 16th
Sept. 6th

I know it's a bit away, but summer schedules are busy...I was thinking to have a
run on the trail before the race but need a buddy or two so we could drop cars
at the start/finish. We would start early to beat the summer heat, time to be
determined. Pace will not be fast, no one left behind.

If anyone is interested, let me know. The more the merrier.

The Keystone Trail Association is hosting a 25 mile hike from Otter Creek to Conestoga on 9/12/09.  Looks to be a huge challenge and might be worthwhile in preparation for Conestoga at the end of the month.  Check it out on the Keystone Trails website.

Consensus is putting us to the August 9th date thus far, keeping us in front of a busy September in Conestoga Trail land..  I do think the August 9th date will be best, seeing that I forgot all about that Super Hike (who wants to get their behind whooped 3 weekends in a row anyway?).

I'll say at this point we'll shoot for a gathering at the end of the Trail (picnic area) between 8-8:30 that Sunday morning.  We could then take count and rally a few carloads to the campground and get out before 9:30...putting us back to the end around lunch time-ish.

I believe the count so far is about 8 or 9 of us....anyone and everyone is welcome, we will not be racing, just fun-running/shuffling.

More updates as we approach the date.

Ok everyone,

So, Sunday August 9th.  At the "end" of the Conestoga by 8:00-8:30.  Take out the kids' car seats, and we'll shuttle each other from one end to the other....then we'll goof along the trail for a training run.

If you get lost, need help, or just want to say hi, call me this weekend on the mobile 717-468-0214.

East Petersburg Dave, formerly Lancaster Dave.  Incidentally, last week I was "I thought I broke my foot Dave" but it turns out I just hurt it real bad and was actually "foot recovery time Dave" and "moved too many boxes Dave".    Have a great week.
