Veronica Perez
On January 2008, Veronica Perez was appointed to the International Panel as an Assistant Referee. Her first year, she was appointed to work at two international tournaments: the Beijing Summer Olympics and the U17 CONCACAF Qualifier in Trinidad and Tobago. At the Olympics, she officiated in a quarterfinal match between Brazil and Norway.
Veronica has been officiating soccer in the professional divisions since 2001. A recent achievement is officiating on the Women's Professional Soccer inaugural match in Los Angeles. Another recent honor was being appointed to the NCAA Division II Women's 2008 Championship match as a center referee. Some of her memorable matches have been working on matches with the US Women's National Team. Another memory she is fond of is being a part of the referee development exchange program between Cal-North and Spain in 2002.
Veronica is 29 years old, lives in Sacramento, California, and has been officiating since 1996. She currently attends school at Sacramento State and is working toward earning a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Administration.
