Greetings:
My name is Ric, and I'll be the board moderator. I am here to assist you in acquainting yourself with the use of the Ridefinder. It's simple, just open any E mail program and compose your invitation. Remember to include ride-specific information like the date and time, expected mileage, road conditions, and directions to your meeting site. When finished, simply send the notice to LCCC_Ridefinder@yahoogroups.com, a copy of the letter will go to all members on the list. Only the senders name will appear on the message, no mailing list or cc's will appear, thus ensuring your own individual privacy. The domain name LCCC_Ridefinder will appear on the 'subject' line to help you avoid mistakenly deleting the messages.
--->Please respect the privacy of other list members and keep all postings limited to impromptu and scheduled rides only.
--->When responding to a posting please DO NOT hit the "Reply To All" button, use the "Reply" button only.
--->Please DO NOT send chain mail, cute stories that one simply must read all the way to the end, or subject matter that is not ride related, a place on this board is provided for non ride related subjects.
--->Please be aware that if you set your E mail software to send a vacation notice it will spam the entire group, if this happens your E mail address will be temporarily set on inactive until you contact the board moderator to have it restored, we do not want to load up members' mail boxes, thank you for observing this rule.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in the removal of your name from the list.
We DO NOT share your address with ANY organizations of any type, no mass mailing lists with spam exists either, and so there is no need to be concerned about compromising your E mail address, or getting loaded up with spam.
If you have any further questions, or especially if you intend to set your E mail to deliver a vacation notice in the near future, please contact me, and thank you for your time.
