Last evening over 1000 people competed in the third of the seven event series of walks/runs held over a 7km course in Palmerston North. The events start at the hockey pavilion in Manawaroa Street and go through the esplanade and a number of suburban streets along the river, a virtually flat course.
The evening was perfectly clear with a slight breeze which turned rather cool towards the end of the event.
While officially not a race the following times were recorded for some of the regulars.

Wayne Burrows  44.39
Merrin Taratoa  44.42
Susan Snell  44.50
Glen White  45.09
Darryl James  46.21
Joyce Holdsworth  47.18
Kay Davenport  47.24
Melissa Young  47.32
Chris Puts  47.42
Ross Archibald  49.05
Lindsay Wright  50.11
Rosemairi Knowles  51.39
Jackie Welsh  51.41
Alan McKey  52.07
David Peak  52.29
Judy Cocks  53.43
Lee Welsh  54.33
Rose Kearns  54.41
Kathy Morton  55.38
Janet Hackett  56.57
John Kearns  57.05

Another highly successful event. Thank you to all the officials.
