Thanks for trying to put a walk on for us at the Sylvia Potts meeting. However due to an under whelming response from the walking community, only one athlete saying they were interested but unavailable to race, and I have also just found out that the Auckland Champs are on the weekend, I will have to say thanks for the effort, but there is no need to put a walk on the program. I do hope to come down to Hawkes Bay in the near future for a race.

No worries… I have just spoken to Pottsy and we agree to put on a walk for you.  Provided we can get 3 or more entries we will endeavor to include it in the main program schedule rather than at the earlier time.

Let me know the distance you want and I will alter the entry form and have it posted on the Athletics NZ website.

Hi Murray,

What are the chances of getting a walk put on the Sylvia Potts Classic program? There would be 3-4 from Hawkes Bay plus 2 or 3 from Auckland interested. There may also be some from the central region interested as well. We would be happy to start at 5:30. We would also be able to organize judges.
