Just a small piece of info that I thought some of you might find interesting.

 

On October 17 in Bergamo, Italy a 50km race for women and 100km race for men were held.  In the womens event Elena Ginko (Belorussia) won in a new world record 4.12.16.  She improved her old world record by 7 minutes!!!!!  Evangelia Xjnou of Greece was 2nd in 4.28.13 and Lyudmyla Jegorova from the Ukraine was 3rd.  Pretty awesome times for the women!!!

 

In the men's 100km race:

 

1. Zoltan Czukor (Hun) 9.00.29

2. Victor Ginko (Blr) 9.12.04 (husband of Elena)

3. Oleskey Shelest (Ukr) 9.13.50

 

They also held a 100km for women but there was only a handful of entrants with the winner clocking 10.58.37.
