i was never a dale earnhardt fan, but i've got to say when i remember his
last race, i will smile with gratitude that the intimidator held off the
entire race pack to allow michael waltrip and his son to finish one two. what
an awesome race. he went out a hero!!
but of course it just brings kenny's death right back, full force. will
nascar finally do something like mandate the hans device? only time will
tell. i pray that no more drivers have to die. and like barb, i wish i never
got this sport in my blood.
my heart really goes out to his family friends and fans. i know too well how
much this pain hurts.
