I thought maybe I would introduce myself to the group and maybe if anyone
else wants to also.
My name is Margaret Irwin (no relation) and I am from NY. I have only been a
fan for a short time of NASCAR and of Kenny's. I first got interested in
Kenny because we shared the same last name but then as I got more and more
interested in NASCAR, I began reading everything I could get my hands on that
had to do with Kenny's career.
I first read of his death on the Kenny Irwin Fan Forum and my first reaction
was this has to be a mistake. As I read further I realized that it was true,
Kenny was gone.
I wish I had gotten the opportunity to meet him and I wish I had followed his
career from the beginning. But in the short time that I followed Kenny he
truly touched me. I have a lot of if only's in my heart right now. If only I
could have met him, if only I had known about him soon. But Kenny will live
on in my heart.
