Hey everyone!
Did any of you happen to see the article on ESPN.com in which Doug Yates said that their team is interested in hiring J.J. Yeley to drive the 88 car next year? I almost fell in the floor when I read this quote:
"How can you say a guy two years into the sport is not making the cut?" Yates said. "He needs to be with a team that believes in him."
While I know that Robert Yates was the head of RYR back in 1999 rather than Doug Yates, it seems to me that RYR didn't believe in Kenny when he was only two years into the sport. Kenny finished 28th in points his first year and improved to 19th in points his second year on the Cup level, but RYR let him go. J. J. Yeley finished 29th in points last year and is 20th in points right now and they "believe in him"?!?! I don't get it.
Thanks for letting me
vent!
Ginger
