My sentiments exactly! I saw a report on Nascar safety on ESPN the other day, and they pretty much stated that the 3 deaths in 2000 didn't amount to much in the way of opening eyes to safety, while Earnhardt's death really shook people up. I thought it was a good program, because it drove home the point that when Kenny, Adam and Tony Roper all passed away, no one seemed to bother doing anything, but when a "legend" passes the same way, all of a sudden everyone jumps out of their skins to do something. Not enough things like that are said often enough.
