Thank you Patrie
The message had got delayed in Yahoo .. seems to be happening with a few Yahoo groups at the moment.. However, your advice is sound and a line I will follow..
I have also spoken with Sensei Holley and have some ideas there too..
In my personal experience I find that any attention disorder needs to be treated with regular change in activity to start with but the key issue is the cause. I think you raise a good point on being diagnosed incorrectly. I certainly feel that in the UK doctors are too happy to hang a label on any problem to avoid doing further analysis.. So many kids are now labelled as being disable in some way or other.. very sad..
Thank you
Malcolm

Subject: Re: [KOJF]Attention disordersSee if you can contact a mental health facility near you. They can give you much more information on this subject. Be careful with online sites relating to psychological disorders since they are often put into place by drug companies. I have had some experience since in 2nd grade a psychologist attempted to diagnose me with ADHD and place me on medication but was later proven wrong. However, I have no professional experience. Perhaps you could see if there is a nearby university that teaches psychology and you can meet with a professor. I wish you the best of luck. Please let us know how it goes.~PatrieIn a message dated 11/14/2005 8:57:52 A.M.
