Congratulations on the Kobudo Shodan! Yea!!!! Good job and as for
the tournament win Kudos to you sir. It is good to hear from you
and I hope all else is well with you also. Maybe in the next 24
months I can find a way to come and visit you with some deshi
(student). I have some students who are from England/Great Brittan
and they visit every summer. Both are scientist at the University
of Cincinnati. I will probably have at least one of them with me
during the visit. Well let me do some work this fine Monday
morning but wanted to touch base with you sir. I had a visit this
past Saturday from your USA sensei Melvin Lewis who came by to train
with the class. It was a good visit. I will pass on the good news
about your acheivements. Continue on the journey my friend.
Humbly,Your friend through Karate-do,
Dwight Holley

the moment as I snapped a ligament in knee a few weeks back in a
comp. Already had a 3rd in kata but fought the best I have ever and
30 seconds before time in the final had my knee took out in a clash
of legs. Managed to hop around in a bizarre neko type stance just
long enough to run the clock down and win!!! All a bit of a karate
kid type moment. But it has ended my competition days (my wife is
pleased though). Now I have two more weeks in a full leg cast before
freedom.

Kai with Sensei Vermiglio, in the summer, so yet another certificate
in the study.
