Hi from across the pond!! Well my Sandan grading is on hold for the moment as I snapped a ligament in knee a few weeks back in a comp. Already had a 3rd in kata but fought the best I have ever and 30 seconds before time in the final had my knee took out in a clash of legs. Managed to hop around in a bizarre neko type stance just long enough to run the clock down and win!!! All a bit of a karate kid type moment. But it has ended my competition days (my wife is pleased though). Now I have two more weeks in a full leg cast before freedom.

I also got my kobudo shodan though the Ryukyu Kobudo Hozon Shinko Kai with Sensei Vermiglio, in the summer, so yet another certificate in the study.
