I'm a 5'5" female with rather long arms and shortish legs (think monkey ;) ) and
I fit very
nicely on a 53cm P/R with noodles. I think without a doubt 56cm would be almost
perfect, especially if you are going to run it with albatross bars. I'm sure
Matthew will have
a well educated opinion when given your measurements, but my view is you would
cramped on a 53!

Keep in mind that the top tube is actually 50mm lower than the frame size would indicate. That is, the seat tube extends 50mm above the top tube. My 59cm...

... It would be tougher to get the stem right on a 53. So that leads me to recommend a 56. Matthew...
