Need replacement part - brake splitter   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #90 of 216 |
Dave or whoever else has parts:

I have a K class (one of the first in the US) for my son. The right brake
lever goes through a splitter to produce two cables, one for each front band
brake. One of the brake cables frayed and broke.

On disassembly, it appears that all three cables (one incoming, two
outgoing) are molded into a single ingot (like the cable end ingots on
normal cables). I thought it would be more of a holder for standard cables.
Anyway, it appears that to replace this cable I need to get the whole
assembly. Is this part available from anyone here?

I can send a picture if needed for clarity.
