X vs. ST   Message List

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me what are the differences between the ST and
the X that make the latter better and more expensive?

The X has 24 gears, Maxxis Hookworm tyres and a 24'' (alloy rim) wheel
on the back, while the ST has 7 gears, KMX tyres and a 20'' back
(Nylon Mag) wheel.

This are the obvious differences I found. Besides the gears, what
makes the X better? Its wheels are more fragile than the ST's, right?
And they must be the same weight because both models weight 19.5 Kg...

So why is the X more expensive? Does the bigger back wheel offer some
advantage? Why doesn't the X come with mag wheels too? What's the plus
on the alloy rim?

I haven't yet seen (let alone ridden!) an X up close.

Cheers,

Ana

To add to Dave's comments, I have an ST 'Custom' which was a KMX demo model that had decent wheels, triple chainset, etc. fitted by KMX for road use, so they...

Ana, Keep the brakes the same, it takes just about two stops to get it right. You may not get any damage from fast stops but when you purchase the trikes, you...
