Hi Ana,
I am also about to become a KMX kart owner, and was also wondering how
to transport the trike.
In the US there are a few companies who do recumbent, tandem and trike
transporters that fit to the car's tow hitch. All very neat. Search on
google for images with the words "recumbent rack" and you find some
solutions.
However, we do not have the same type of hitch on cars in the UK and I
no longer have an SUV, so the trike is unlikely to fit inside the car.
So my thought at the moment is to get hold of a tow-bar mounted bike
rack something like the "Thule Xpress 970" (http://www.thule.co.uk),
or the "Pendle Tow Bar Rack" (http://www.pendle-bike.co.uk/) and rest
the front axle on two prongs that stick out, with the rear wheel
hanging down. I'm hoping this will work if there is an ordinary bike
on the rack as well. Has anyone on this group done that?
My second option is to put the trike on a trailer. There are trailers
around for quads and golf buggies that look promising. Or simply put
the trike on the top of a baggage trailer.
Cheers
Bodge
