Im new to the KMX, but not so much to recumbents. I have had my KMX for
about 5 weeks. Im having issues with the rear derailleur. I noticed
that the bottom chain is running awfully close if not rubbing the rear
tire. Im using the plastic tube to scoot it over a bit, but is that
right? This is making it very hard for the derailleur to work the
higher gears(smaller cogs). Im not sure if this is a construction
problem or something else. I don't think I have ever had this much
trouble setting up shifting like this before. The hanger is strangely
close to horizontal??? Is this normal, or is the chain a bit long?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob

Hey Dave, Thanks for the help. It does look like the chain is a bit too long, so I'll take a link or two out and see how it goes. Does the chain normally run...

I have had the chain pretty close. Do check to make sure the hanger isn't bent inwards or the derailleur is straight. (it should appear to run in line a...
