Just dicovered this group, via BROL, so thought I ought to say hi and
introduce myself. good to see Alan on the site too, I didn't get to
meet him when I fetched my KMX from Portsmouth, so I can say hi now too.
Anyway on with the bumpf. I've had my KMX for just over a year now,
it's one of the pre-production prototypes, basically standard but with
the chromed boom extension not the later alloy ones. I've fitted a
Sigma cordless computer, a water bottle cage and a mount for my bar bag
on the rear stay (Posted a couple of photos for all to see). Also
changed to Schwalbe Big Apples, which are a huge imporvement to the
ride, comfort (the seat seems more comfy too) and I think seem to make
it quite a bit quicker too, I don't know why KMX don't fit them as
standard.
I've also been working on a hard shell seat for mine, started off with
a papier maché mould and worked from there, but stupidly didn't get
round to doing glass-fibre before the winter and my papier maché's now
gone soggy in the garage. Oh well have to start again.
As for me, I'm more of a fun triker than a serious roadie, love
pootling round and shooting the breeze and seeing what's happening, and
love being the only trikist in all of western France, or so it seems
anyway. Oh but before anyone says, hey you're English is good, I'm
really a Brit.
Look forward to seeing what happens and seeing more and more people
join up.
Alex
