I understand what you are talking about. I own two other trikes and they have
this type of setup with a cut in the frame and then the bolts to pinch the frame
and hold boom in place, like a seat post on a DFer. I don't see any cuts in the
frame or any bolts/screws to pinch the frame. I will take some pics later today
and post them. I will also look at the sides of the frame to see if there is
something I missed. When I mentioned this to David he seemed to imply that
overtime those two top bolts would notch the boom and keep it in place from
sliding in. I did add another link to the chain (it was tight when I was in the
big big (which I would only use by accident). Hopefully I will be able to get
out later today for a ride and see what happens. As an aside. The boom sliding
in for me is not a bigee so long as I can keep the right distance from the seat.
This is a great improvement over the boom twisting. That was nightmare!
