Bottom of the frame where the boom meets it? There should be a cut in
the frame below and 2 screws, or at least the mounts for them, can you
take a picture of it? Loosing those 2 screws would be a mistake, since
the 2 bolts on top aren't enough to hold the boom in place when riding
harder.

David also recommend that in time the slipping of the boom will stop the bolts
set in.
I've seen booms that are cut in the top left corner because the 2
bolts weren't enough to hold it and since the aluminium is softer than
steel.
I'll check your photos on the yahoo groups page and take some of the
frame near the end where the booms meets it.
