First of all I must say I am impressed with the KMX USA operation thus far.
David has been spectacular. He has answered all my questions and been very
responsive. He said they would ship day after they got the order and they did.
He said it would take about 3 business days to get here and it did. I am really
impressed.
I like the looks of the trike very much. The burnt orange looks great and I
think the overall workmanship is very good. Welds are clean and neat. Nice combo
of black and orange. Gives the trike a very distinctive look. I spent about 2 to
2 1/2 hrs (some of searching for tools which I have a bad habit of never putting
back where they belong).
It is pretty straigth forward assembly. Follow the instructions and you
shouldn't have any problem. Of course it assumes you are somewhat mechanically
inclined and perhaps have worked on a bike before. This is my third trike but
don't let the fool you. I am no expert. The only tricky parts so far was the
seat and the boom. Installing the stock seat takes time. Of course after I
installed it, I found out that you're not suppose to install it if you have the
upgraded seat which is what I got. Oh well that's what I get for not reading all
the instructions (said so right on the box).
The boom was a very tight fit. I actually took my dead blow and block of wood
and gently tapped it in. Good to have a nice tight fit. Axles went on no
problem. The tube are scharder valves which I will change for prestas. The valve
was a really tight fit on my pump head (Blow Joe). I thought I was going to
yank the tube right through the tire and off the rim. I hope to finsh the
installation and tune up by tomorrow and maybe get a test ride in. I will keep
you posted.
I did post some pics in a new album call Dom NH. I will post more as I complete
the rest of it and then some on the trails.
Cheers!
