You will *definitely* have a better experience in a rink. Skating
outdoors is a whole different beast from indoor skating -- rink
skating is going to feel more like ice to you.
Outdoor skating is fun, but there's a lot more to deal with --
pebbles and inclines, and traffic. If you are new to these skates
you'll be happier and safer getting used to them indoors, I think.
Also, the default wheels probably aren't really intended for outdoor
use -- they are a little soft, but not all that soft... but maybe the
Pic guy here can clarify that. If the wheels are too hard, you'll get
a bumpy ride outdoors.
