I do layback spins on my PICskates all the time. I love doing them.
Do a lot of attitude spins first. The free leg needs to be slightly
higher on the entry (than on the ice) for a layback to be
consistent. All the weight must be on the front part of the skating
foot.
I also feel it helps to forget you are on in-line skates as you
spin. It's a mental thing, but as I do the spin, I pretend I'm on
the ice, and it works every time!
