Yesterday, I skated on a gym floor that was kind of dusty.
I had 3 REALLY BAD falls: the first was when I tried a back camel (went
down flat on my face), then I tried a loop jump (slipped and went down on
my side) and then I tried a flip jump (PIC slipped, and I hit my tail bone).
All these falls happened in about a 15 minute time frame. Anyway, I just
couldn't figure out what was wrong and wondered if the dusty wooden floor
had anything to do with all the slipping I did.
Anyone have any ideas? If I could tell the people that run the rink how to
clean the floor, what would I say?
From an ice skater's point of view, some of the slipping felt like I was
trying to skate with my guards on.
Thanks for any advice.
