Re: Good News from your Moderator

Everyone:

I really would like Marion to get the Inline Skating Guide position
with About.com! I've been the Figure Skating Guide with About.com
since mid-July and love writing for About. I had to compete with
many other talented skaters and writers to get the position, and am
so happy to have this opportunity since I love skating so much. It
seems like I'm "bursting" with information and things to write about
with the world!

I think my love and knowledge of skating and Marion's love and
knowledge of skating combined would really promote everything in
skating if we both wrote!

Anyway...I'd like to see articles on About not just about inline
figure skating, but about beginning recreational skating, products,
places to skate, traditional roller skating, transitioning back and
forth between ice and rollers, skating games for children, using
skating to help with skiing, famous skaters that do ice, roller,
inline, speed skating, Heelys, Trikkes, anything! I think my funny
story of the time I took the tram to the top of Vail Mountain
and "tried" to Trailskate down would amuse anyone! I do know there
are downhill speed skaters and it would be amazing to feature them.

What would everyone else like to hear about? Marion, when do you
start the Guide Prep process?

Happy Skating!

JO ANN
