I am hoping to plan a trip to the Staples Center on
Dec 22nd, THURSDAY for a performance of FINDING NEMO with Disney on
Ice! I highly recommend Disney as they at one time imported the
choregrapher Jill Shipstad from Shipstads and Johnson's Ice Follies of
long ago. She may still be doing the choerography, but if not, I am
confident an equally talented individual will be in charge of it.
The Ice Follies was the best ice show ever, and I am hoping that with
Disney's bankroll, this show should be just as beautiful. The things
that make a good ice show are money, music, costumes and
chorography. So, I am taking a chance on seeing what I believe
may be one of the best ice shows ever for a long time. I have been
in many shows, even wearing some of the Follies Costumes. (I didn't desire
to tour with the Follies, though) I also think the theme of this
particular show could really be uplifting, especially because there are no
witches, demons, etc, just really cool characters and a good message on
love and growing up.. The last show I invested in was a Disney Show
many year ago and I was very impressed. Before that, I saw Oxsana
Baul in Nutcracker and it was awful, so big names are not really the key
to good ice shows. Having said this, here is the ice show
info. Group tickets save $4/ticket. I need to order 15 tickets
to get the group prices. I also will probably not buy the cheaper
seats, but the best to get the best show experience since good ice shows
don't come around very often.:
