Hello Skaters,

Thank you Philadelphia for a great Freedom Skate. You did an outstanding job
managing and coordinating the event. Everyone I spoke with had a great time.

Here in New York, we are finalizing arrangements with restaurants, caterers,
beverage distributors, The Parks Department and our t-shirt printers. Make sure
to register soon so that we can properly accommodate everyone.


STRÜB Sports Designs: http://www.strub.ca/ has generously donated many shirts to
the Big Apple Roll. In appreciation for their generosity, one of the weekend
skates will be the STRÜB skate where those of us with STRÜB shirts will be asked
to wear them for the skate. We do **NOT** have enough shirts for everyone, so
shirts will be awarded based on time of registration. You can still get a STRÜB
shirt in addition to the Big Apple Roll shirt by registering now.

The registration fee goes towards:
1. Dinner on Friday night
2. Lunch on Saturday
3. Lunch on Sunday
4. Big Apple Roll custom printed t-shirt
5. 8 gallons of water per person
6. Bananas & Cookies during the skates
7. Printed materials
8. Truck rental and fuel
9. Hotel Ball Room

We make every effort to provide the highest quality of service within a modest
budget. The Empire Skate Club is a not for profit corporation and none of our
events, including the Big Apple Roll make money. In fact, quite often, the
Empire Skate Club supplements this and other activities.

Our mission is to have fun skating and that is what the Big Apple Roll is all
about.

The following registration categories are available:

1. Full Event (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) with goodie bags & t-shirts
a. Empire member: $55
b. Non-Empire Member: $65
c. National Skate Patrol: $40 (Must marshal 3 skates)

2. Single Day (no goodie bag or event t-shirt)
a. Friday only: $30
b. Saturday only: $20
c. Sunday only: $20

Skyline Hotel

As of yesterday afternoon, the Skyline hotel is holding 10 more rooms for the
Big Apple Roll and they requested that we get all our reservations this week.
