Dear inline skater,

The Skyline Hotel, the official event hotel, is now completely sold out and our
registration is continuing to climb. We have contacted several hotels nearby
and have arranged for additional blocks of rooms. When making reservations, be
sure to mention "Empire Skate`s Big Apple Roll" to get the discounts.

The New Yorker Hotel has agreed to block off a limited number of rooms at
$109/night (versus $119/night). However, they ONLY HAVE ONE-BED ROOMS LEFT
(i.e., good for a single person or couple who can share a bed). Our block will
be held for the next week.

West Side Inn and West End Studios both have a few rooms each still available.
The West End Studios will honor a room rate of $75 per night (versus $80) by
mentioning "Empire Skate's Big Apple Roll". The West Side Inn is $80 per room
per night. The accommodations are clean, but modest, and the rooms do NOT have
private bathrooms... The bathrooms are shared down the hall.

Hotels.com lists the Pennsylvania Hotel (near Penn station) Jul 30-Aug 1 for
$117/nt and the Milford Plaza at $139.00. The Pennsylvania Hotel may offer our
participants a lower rate, but please lock in the reservation now and, if
available, the rate may be applied later.

Note: July 15th is the final pre-event drawing for a pair of Rollerblades, be
sure to have your event registration made to be eligible for the drawing.
