Michelle,
Thank you for your heartfelt reply. I agree with you. I think your daughter
Chelsee has already made a tremendous contribution to the world of skating.
I have always felt that the Pic Skate was slightly ahead of its' time, and in
the not too distant future we will see inline figure skating come of age.
It has been a dream of mine, since the conception of the Pic Skate, that
someday we could turn on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV and see
figure skaters gliding down the pavement of Broadway in New York City! Talk
about, "eye-candy"!
This would be something that NO ONE has ever seen before!!
Can you imagine Dorothy Hamill, Scott Hamilton and Kristi Yamaguchi "ice"
skating in full holiday attire, to the wonderful sounds of Christmas music,
on asphalt??!!
It is truly mind-boggling why it has not been done. To me, it seems like the
proverbial No-Brainer!
Okay, you want more??
How about a Synchro Team of twenty skaters, in perfect unison, whizzing in
and out of their formations, moving down the STREET to a rousing finish in
front of the grand Macy's entrance!! How could you NOT be impressed?
And... how many marching bands do they have each year???
Things worth thinking about. Thank you.
